What a weekend full of birthdays! On Friday night Dennis and I went to his mom and dad's house to celebrate our niece's 8th birthday, yes 8th! It seems just yesterday I was holding her at the hospital. Before going to his parent's we did make a pit stop to pick up our youngest nephew Malachi so he could join in on the fun. He is 2 years old and was so excited to ride in his Uncle D's "big truck". The kids had a great time playing together before eating cake and ice cream!
Once it was time to open presents I was so suprised to see that my mom had got Destiny the cutest little shirt that had a dog on it like Peyton! Destiny loved it, of course!

Our gift to Destiny was something she has been begging for since she was small. She has always wanted to be a cheerleader....so Aunt Kayla signed her up! She was tickled pink that she was going to be cheerleading for the pee wee team here in town in just a few short weeks!
She had a great birthday and got lots of new clothes for going back to school!
Saturday my mom and I headed to Chattanooga to celebrate Oliver's ( my sister's boyfriend) 23rd birthday! We left early so we would have time to catch some rays by the pool before heading downtown that evening and to see my little "pup" niece Paisley.

Taby and Oliver invited us as well as Oliver's family to celebrate with them on the River Gorge Explorer! It was a 70 passenger high speed boat that took us down the Tennessee River towards Moccasin Bend. When I say high speed I mean fast, 52 miles per hours fast!

The best part was when the boat had to stop (everytime another small boat or ferry was in sight). This boat stopped in 5-6 SECONDS! When you are going 52 mi per hr on the water and come to a dead stop, this is what you see out the window....
| The kids on the boat loved this! |
After we wrapped around Moccasin Bend the boat slowed down so all passengers could take in the scenary and enjoy a little history along the way.
We had a great time and of course I loved spending it with my mom and sister! I only wish Dennis would have been there to experience it as well. If you are ever in Chattanooga with nothing to do (not possible)
you should try it! Tennessee River Gorge
Saturday night Dennis and I had a great night grilling out and helping celebrate our friend Hannah's birthday, and Sunday was a super lazy day for the both of us. All in all it was a great weekend and we are so blessed we have such great family and friends to share it with!
